Title: Part 1- Drunkard's Walk
Author: Frederik Pohl
Featuring: Ruiz Tremello & Marguerite
Ruiz Tremello & Marguerite are in Botswana, Peru, for the first of two discussions on the 1960 novel, "Drunkard's Walk" by Frederik Pohl. This story concerns a math professor trying to avoid suicide, while his dept. head takes fuzzy images of molecules, while an undergrad hits on an uninterested fellow student, and also a tribe of uncontacted South Pacific Islanders makes contact with the rest of the world. There are a lot of subplots, and none of them get resolved because it's a two-parter. We'll be back next week (July 1st, 2018) for part 2, rather than sticking to our (standard) bi-weekly format.
